Human Intervention for Protecting Urban Green Cover: Case of Nagpur, India

The important roles played by green spaces are social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of sustainable development. Indian urban areas developing at a very fast pace; simultaneously there is rapid growth in population too, which impacts the ratio demand supply basic services resulting to sustainability issues. This influences interfaces between urbanization, environment, as surroundings receiving end, leading overexploitation natural resources especially breathing parks, gardens small forests on name infrastructural situation augments due absence citizen participation governance Urban Local Bodies (ULB).
